Daiichi Sankyo makes donations to the Daiichi Sankyo Foundation of Life Science and the Japan Research Foundation for Clinical Pharmacology in order to contribute to the development of medicine and pharmacy.

・Japan Research Foundation for Clinical Pharmacology
The Japan Research Foundation for Clinical Pharmacology provides research, overseas study, and other grants to aid clinical pharmacology research with the aim of contributing to the advancement of clinical pharmacology and to the development of researchers in this field. In addition, this foundation collaborates with the Japanese Society of Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics in presenting the Japan Research Foundation for Clinical Pharmacology Award and in holding intensive clinical pharmacology courses. Moreover, the Manpei Suzuki Diabetes Foundation is a shareholder of the Company. This foundation provides grants for overseas study and research and investigational studies and bestows awards with the aim of advancing diabetes research. Click here for more information.

Scholarships and Fellowships

With the aim of supporting the research activities of doctorate and master’s degree students as well as teachers, Daiichi Sankyo (China) Holdings Co., Ltd., provides scholarships and fellowships to Fudan University of Shanghai through the Daiichi Sankyo PharmaceuticalOriental Scholarship Program at Fudan University.

Support for the Florence Nightingale Medal Program

The Japanese Red Cross Society awards the Florence Nightingale Medal to exceptional nurses once every two years. Daiichi Sankyo offers support in providing this medal, which is seen as the highest honor in the nursing world. In 2015, this medal was presented to 36 individuals around the world, two of which were from Japan.
