We provide pharmaceutical products with a superior degree of efficacy proven at the R&D stage, in which the level of quality incorporated in the pharmaceuitcal technology process, is consistently reproduced at the production stage. At DAIICHI SANKYO, we have achieved a high level of care in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice: controlling the manufacture of pharmaceutical products and rules and regulations governing quality control) from Japan, the U.S., Europe and other countries. We control operations from the supply of raw materials through to production and shipping of goods with scientifically based control systems, and have set up a system to fulfill our responsibilities to the market, guaranteeing the quality of our products through GQP (Good Quality Practice: the level of quality control for products such as pharmaceutical products). We have implemented global standards of quality assurance, so that people everywhere can use our products in full peace of mind.

Safety Management System

Medicines contribute to the health of people all over the world, but no matter how wonderful medicines are, the risk of adverse drug reactions can never be ruled out. That is why DAIICHI SANKYO has set up an in-company system to make its safety management as good as it can possibly be. The revised Japanese Pharmaceutical Law has now been fully implemented, requiring even greater efforts by the pharmaceutical industry to reinforce its post-manufacture and post-marketing safety management. DAIICHI SANKYO is making every effort to gather, accurately evaluate and examine even higher quality information on safety management (e.g. on adverse drug reactions). Furthermore, DAIICHI SANKYO delivers safety information rapidly to medical professionals, as well as trying to raise the awareness of safety measures among all of our staff. What is more, we are gathering, evaluating and examining safety management information from overseas, and as the safety management division for this global pharmaceutical corporation, we are striving for swift implementation of such safety measures. Our safety assurance efforts are designed to ensure that information on safety management from both inside and outside Japan is accurately and strictly analyzed, so that our products are properly used through rapid communication with medical professionals, and that daily medical diagnoses are carried out safely.

Stable Production and Supply System

The pharmaceutical industry can fulfill its mission only if there is a reliable and stable supply of high-quality pharmaceutical products. At DAIICHI SANKYO, in order to fulfill that role, we have integrated functions for systematic production for a stable supply of safe raw materials and a logistics capability for rapid and reliable post-order delivery. Also, through the centralization of information, we have established a flexible and efficient production and supply system (supply chain management system). What is more, working in concert with our overseas production bases, we have set up a stable supply system for the global market.
