Daiichi Sankyo Selected for Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index for Third Consecutive Year

Tokyo, Japan (September 26, 2012) – Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited (hereafter, Daiichi Sankyo) today announced that it has been selected for the third consecutive year for the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index (DJSI Asia Pacific), the Asia Pacific version of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI), which is one of the leading indexes for Socially Responsible Investment (SRI)*.

DJSI is the global indexes from Dow Jones of the USA and Sustainable Asset Management (SAM) of Switzerland which assesses and selects leading, sustainability-driven companies worldwide in terms of economic, environmental and social performance. These are an important investment standard for investors who have an interest in corporate social responsibility (CSR). The DJSI Asia Pacific has selected the top 154 regional sustainability leaders, including 74 Japanese companies, out of 600 leading companies from developed markets in Asia Pacific.
