Notice of Daiichi Sankyo Organizational Restructuring

Tokyo, Japan (March 1, 2011) – Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited today announced plans for organizational restructuring to be effective as of April 1, 2011.

 

 

1. DAIICHI SANKYO CO., LTD.

 a) R&D Division

i. Creation of R&D Administration and Support Department

The newly created department will consolidate the roles of the R&D Operations Department and the R&D General Affairs Department. Accordingly, the R&D Operations Department and the R&D General Affairs Department will be phased out.

 

  

2. DAIICHI SANKYO HEALTHCARE CO., LTD.

a) Creation of Internal Audit Department

In order to strengthen internal compliance, the Internal Audit Department will be created.

 

 b) Sales Division

i. Creation of Sales Administration Department

In order to streamline decision-making processes, this newly created department will consolidate the roles of the Sales Planning Department and the Sales Promotion Department. Accordingly, the Sales Planning Department and the Sales Promotion Department will be phased out.
