DAIICHI SANKYO Notice on Organizational Restructuring as of April 1, 2008

Tokyo, March 3, 2008 - DAIICHI SANKYO COMPANY, LIMITED announced plans for elimination of its corporate Management System Department. The Management System Department is to be phased out upon completion of the establishment and monitoring of management systems, which was part the agenda during the stabilization phase of the business integration.
From the view that management systems are part of business administration (internal control), the Corporate Business Management Department, Human Resources Department, CSR Department and Internal Audit Department will take over the company-wide operation of each management system of the company including business, compliance and personnel affairs.
