Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter referred to as "the company") has been selected for the "Digital Transformation Stocks (DX Stocks) 2026" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE), and the Information-technology Promotion Agency for four consecutive years.

With the aim of realizing our 2035 DX Vision – " Drive a paradigm shift for Daiichi Sankyo productivity and sustainable patient-centered healthcare through leveraging diverse data and cutting-edge technologies" – we are working to drive company-wide transformation through digital transformation (DX). This recognition as a DX-focused company was primarily based on the following factors:

    ▶ Foundations Enabling Transformation
    • Under the leadership of the Chief Digital Transformation Officer, CDXO, and with business strategy and DX strategy properly aligned, a structure is well established to centrally manage DX, IT, and data intelligence on a global scale, as well as mechanisms for collaboration with top management and effective investment decision-making
    • Advanced digital transformation across the entire pharmaceutical value chain, from research and development to manufacturing, sales, and safety information management is progressing

    ▶ Concrete Achievements and Creation of New Value

    • Accelerating new drug discovery and improving success rates through the advancement of AI-driven drug discovery and data-driven research
    • Achieving company-wide operational efficiency through a generative AI platform. Additionally, implementation of generative AI across the entire value chain—from drug discovery to sales—to simultaneously drive operational acceleration and create new values.
       

What is DX Stocks?
In Japan, the METI and the TSE annually select and publicize outstanding, forward-thinking companies as “DX Stocks”. These companies have been selected for their continuous outstanding efforts to not only introduce exceptional information systems and utilize data but also boldly change their business models and management practices based on digital technologies.
