Daiichi Sankyo made a donation of 50 million yen to UNICEF’s COVID-19 response.
This donation will be used to protect children around the world from the global COVID-19 pandemic and to carry on UNICEF’s support activities, such as maternal and child health services and nutritional support.

In addition, UNICEF is leading efforts to swiftly and fairly deliver COVID-19 vaccines to people in need, by taking advantage of its system to deliver and supply vaccines in low and middle income countries, leveraging its infrastructure to deliver and supply vaccines built for its vaccination programs.

As a pharmaceutical company with a purpose “to contribute to the enrichment of quality of life around the world,” in addition to creating innovative pharmaceuticals on an ongoing basis, Daiichi Sankyo will continue its efforts to solve social issues, such as supporting people who are suffering from COVID-19 and addressing access to healthcare in areas where adequate medical support is not provided.
