We are deeply saddened by the conflict in Ukraine and horrified by the threat to peace, freedom, and security in Europe and beyond.

Our solidarity and thoughts are with the people of Ukraine as well as our colleagues, families and loved ones in the region.

To support humanitarian aid for those impacted by the conflict, Daiichi Sankyo Company, Limited will donate USD $1 million (approximately ¥115 million yen) to the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF).

In addition, Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd. matched 100% of the financial donations made by our employees in Japan and has donated a total of \22 million yen (approximately USD $180,000.)

Multiple Daiichi Sankyo group companies are likewise donating, by contributing to local charities and leveraging gift matching programs, adding to our overall support for those affected by this conflict. We are also thankful to our many employees who are helping privately, including hosting refugees in their homes.

We are working with our partners across the globe to ensure, as much as possible, that patients retain access to our medicines and our clinical trials worldwide.

In light of the growing shortage of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies and based on the local needs, we are arranging to donate medicines for infectious diseases to Ukraine for their citizens.

We sincerely hope that this crisis will be resolved quickly and that peace in Ukraine and in neighboring countries affected by the conflict will be restored soon.
