Daiichi Sankyo strives to identify social issues and matters that the company needs to address through responding to Sustainability /ESG rating such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices, FTSE4Good Index Series, MSCI, and Sustainalytics, communicating with NPOs such as the Access to Medicine (ATM) Foundation* as well as the United Nations Global Compact and other stakeholders.

Dialogue with the ATM*

In December 2018, the ATM Foundation held a dialogue event in Japan with ATM participant companies and investors in line with the announcement of the ATM Index 2018.
The event, which was jointly held by ATM Foundation and USB Securities, was participated in by pharmaceutical companies ranked in various indices announced by the ATM Foundation and investors and experts in and outside Japan which support the ATM as investors. Following the explanation on the ATM Index 2018 results by the ATM Foundation, dialogue between pharmaceutical companies, investors, and experts were held. We had a dialogue with four Japanese institutional investors, two foreign institutional investors, experts, and the ATM Foundation regarding the status of initiatives and issues related to our access to healthcare.
